Philnlil's African Adventure 2000-2001

From 1st October 2000 Linda and Phil set off on an eight month trip along the length of Africa. We flew into Cairo and travelled all the way down to Cape Town. We did this overland (except a short flight from Egypt across Sudan and into Ethiopia). We took busses and hitched rides on trucks around Ethiopia, then into Kenya where we bought a 4WD. We drove the Toyota Hilux Surf around Uganda and then down through Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia eventually reaching Cape Town in South Africa.
